Hi Tony!
I`m very new on here too. It`s a nice friendly forum.
Just back inside after a perrishing cold lathe session.
I`m relearning and downsizing all the tips etc I`ve forgotten over last 50yrs.........
I remembered, when nearing "size", take off only half of what`s left.
Can`t machine undersize then.....
It WORKS!!
Darren:
Hi Tony and others,
As our American friends speak a "funny" English  I'll add some language conversions for those that may be a little confused...
American/English
Shop/workshop or garage
Store/shop
Hope that helps, the term "shop" threw me for a while til the penny dropped. There are of course many more of these sometimes confusing terms.
e.g Fag came up recently but we'll not go there....

Hi Tony
As far as I am concerned you are doubly welcome as a motorcyclist. Had a Bandit (no John not one with a waggly tail) - the highlight was a fabulous solo two week camping trip thro' France and Spain. My last bike, before hanging up my leathers, was a BMW 850 again my transport for a holiday touring thro the Pyrenese and France - oh happy days ! It's also good to see you are on the 'right side of the pennines'. Anyway welcome to the site.

John,
How did you find out where Tony came from, and I hope it is from my side (the best side of the Pennines).
Tony,
My little plaything, the sofa on wheels. Just restoring it to its former glory, after it was festooned with more lights than a local carnival. Everywhere I look, I find more of the damned things.
Being able to ride it is another thing (about 20 hours since last June).
