Machinerys handbooks anyone collect them?

It is a Eutectic diagram for Bismuth and something.

The 100% something has a melting ponit of 327 deg C  left hand side.

100% bismuth has a melting point of 271deg C right hand side

With 55.5% bismuth and the rest something else has the lowest melting point 125deg C

Very useful diagrams.

Especially if I tell you the something else is Lead

Mine came in a Gerstner machinist toolbox wrapper.

I picked up a vintage Gerstner machinist #11 from craigslist.  Loaded with tools and a Machinerys Handbook.  Had the owners name and "Christmas 1963" written in the front cover...

I love stuff like that!!!

I figured it was about $3500 worth of stuff in that box if I went out and bought it all new  :bugeye:
