A block of steel and a milling machine...

Jasonb:
I thought Myford only did the smaller size holders as the boxford ones are too big for their machines.

Warco also do the larger size posts and holders but don't think they are as cheap as RDG/Chronos

You could alway push the boat out and go for the real thing

If you do do that, check the size carefully. A real Dickson T1 size is 73mm long, it is the size originally fitted to Boxfords. I think Rotagrip (AKA Fordeight on fleaBay) sell the real thing and the Bison knock-offs. They also list the smaller S0 size as well which I suspect is probably what you actually have. Note 'suspect' and 'probably'

Thanks for the reply guys. I`ll ring warco tomorrow and have just sent a message to Fordeight on ebay. I`ll see what happens. I`m being impatient not waiting for RDG to get stock back but my money is burning a hole in my pocket.

No1_sonUK - not many months ago I would have dived into making some but now I realise that my time would be best spent on certain other projects. There also looks to be quite a bit more work in these tool holders compared to the type that just have a dovetail cut through the middle. Maybe I`m wrong but not only does it have the T slot in the back but it also has prisms cut at either side.
