Supplier of Dickinson Style Tool Holders
raynerd:
I`ve been meaning to make a quick change tool post for a while but with so many projects on the go I managed to get one of the Dickinson style copies from RDG but with only two holders very very cheap, about 1/3rd of the price of a new one. Of course, the original comes with 4 holders so ideally I`d like another 2 but with RDG out of stock I`m struggling finding another supplier with the correct size.
Here is the RDG link:
http://www.rdgtools.co.uk/acatalog/Tooling_for_Boxford_Lathes.html
It is obviously the one titled: BOXFORD TI QUICK CHANGE TOOLPOST SET (51mm)
I first thought that was T1 size but it actually says TI (i) and when you look at the other QCTP that RDG sell, there is a T1 which is of a different size advertised for Myford lathes.
So I`m now lost as to exactly which size/model this is and if there is anywhere I can get a few replacements from - probably 2 more standard, a boring and perhaps a parting holder. OR is it going to be easier to wait for RDG to get stock back in?
No1_sonuk:
I got mine from Axminster. I think it's Myford size (I use it on a Chester DB7VS), but they might stock others.
Chronos definitely list Boxford-size parts.

I would have suggested Chronos but they are OS as well
raynerd:
Yes, I`ve just rang Chronos, they are out of stock :(
Any more suggestions....
Chris
