You've had a good buy there Colin.

When you get it, make sure the main base underneath is flat with no dings. If there are any, just gently flat them off with a stone.

You will need to calibrate it, so when you are ready, just ask and I will do a quickie write up for you. It is really easy.

I too, would be very interested to see how they are set up.

I got this pair, a 4" and a 8" Rabone Chesterman at a boot sale in 2007 for £1 each.  ::)
Didn't think much of 'em cos I have no way of telling if they are 'calibrated' or not.
Other than checking 'em against a builders 4 ft. level, which probably won't tell me much .. even I worked that out  :scratch:
