I don't know if you noticed on your visit, in the back room, the benches were much higher. That was because they were to be stood at rather than sitting down as I do in the shop itself.
Anyone else who is putting in benches needs to take heed of what you have done, and make the bench heights to suit your perfect working height. It makes working in your shop so much more pleasureable. Even a couple of inches makes all the difference.
It looks like you have used the same B&Q 'mousedust' surfaces as I have done as well. Very reasonably priced compared to what all the others cost, and perfect for what we want it for.
This is a pic of uncle Bog's in his tall benched back room at the end of last summer, complete with 'mousedust' surfaces.
I've got a lot more hair now, as I have let it grow a bit longer than the 4mm I used to have it at.

If you can't get small enough castors I have an idea that would allow you to lower the tool cabinet within an inch of the floor and still be on castors.
