I have been busy the last couple of days making a new bench which is almost like making a kitchen (lucky I have fitted a few :D)
First the lathe was moved off the old bench onto a tool box so that I didn't have to lift it
The old bench will be recycled for a grinder
Some woodworking toys
I started by doing the akward corner
And worked my way along
jumping ahead the work surface is loosely fitted and I am trying out machine locations
The drill press was moved to the position in the previous photo, the cupboard will go leaving enough space for a mill
At this stage the legs are only temporary something more sturdy will be fitted, and I shall be screwing some MDF between the frame and the surface to give it a bit of extra mass. I will be fitting cupboards underneath and more shelves once locations are finalised
one last picture  I wanted to slide the toolchest under the bench, but I neglected to allow for the depth of the frame :bang: :bang:
I can't make it any higher as the bench is at the most comfortable height for me, ah well
