Hi Folks

Eric .. I'm on the case re: Video Clip. Unfortunately, me and this camera don't get on too well. I have sussed out how to do a video clip, and it's easy.  ::) Now for the downside. My old PC runs under 98SE, for this I have to use the CD with the drivers, no problem, done it. Works.
The camera booklet says CD not reqd. with Windows 2000 to XP. OK, This Laptop is Vista Home Premium. it downloads any stills, but does not recognise any video clip. Is nothing ever simple ?? Or is it me ??
Before I get any Video, I need to make a better arrangement of the air input, ie, some needle valve probably, to reduce it. I would think it does about 2000+ rpm at the moment. A video would be a blur...

Robert: Pics of yours then? I've bared my soul ...   :)

Chris: Not off topic at all. I don't know how to bore a cylinder with a blind end without a hideous graunch when it hits the far end. That cyl. is just shy of 58mm long, x 15mm ish. the only way I know to get a good straight bore is to use a sharp tool, fine feed, and take 2/3 passes at the same setting. The boring tool is very long and slender, I don't think it would survive if it did hit. So, I poke it all the way through and fit ( nearly ) a cover. Of course, I am an old codger, maybe your reactions a faster than mine.  :D :D In fact, when my back has a go at me, the only thing slower than me is Plate Tectonics ...

Looks pretty good from here Dave. We all need to start some where right?

Dave,

You better be proud of that! It looks great.... Video will no doubt show it to be too   :clap:

I like the combination of the brass and steal (or other gold and silvery metals... Colour blind a little!)  contrast is always good, you just got to know where to stop  :thumbup:

Just missing a few build/exploded view pic's   ::)    :)

Well.... I just like to see how they are made is all!    :dremel:  :borg:

Looking forward to the video. (Vista should recognise most videos? Mine works fine..... Try opening the file by right clicking and selecting "open with" and then media player or quicktime... Might work?    Also try just dragging the file to a file location (maybe "my videos"?  and then upload straight into youtube.... youtube recognises most forms of video.   Worth a go? )

Ralph.

Foozer, you do your engine an injustice. That is a sweet little engine. Enchantingly exuberant !. I must treat mine to a flywheel shortly.

Bernd .. Maybe the better bits were done under the affluence of incohol ??

Ralph .. Vista will download still images, it just does not admit to finding video .. ??

Not much shop time this week.. all manner of things to do. Roll on friday, when it's over. Not work related, I'm retired. I really resent it now when I have to go to appointments
