"... I suffer chronic flatulence, and being unable to move, it will just have to come out, no holding back..."
You say that like it's a bad thing. Heck John, I'm don't even NEED my meds for that.

For those that are interested, I had my scan last night, after waiting over an hour for them to repair it. The damned thing must have known I was on the way. It was the typical repair man's talk, "Oh, it's only a five minute job". Well after getting changed straight away into a gown, with my a**e hanging out in a public waiting room, and my pain relief patch taken off, after 45 mins I was getting restless and ready to tell them where to stick their scan. But after calming me down a bit, they shoehorned me into the awaiting hole. I have put on loads of weight over the last six months because of being so sedentary, another 7 pounds and I think they would have had to grease me up to get me in. Now I know what sausage meat feels like when being piped into it's skin. But anyway, 15 minutes later, it was all over, just got to await the results now.
Early this morning I visited the doc for the results of my body fluid tests. He gave me the total all clear, everything spot on. This has been a very worrying time for me, as one of my main pain symptoms is similar to certain type of cancer, now that has been ruled out, he said that my problems are purely mechanical, which means they should be able to do something to alleviate the pain without being too intrusive (if they mean carving around your spine with an axe is non intrusive). Whether they will affect a permanent fix is under discussion awaiting results of the scan, but at least at the moment, even though I am limited to what I can do, I am in a much happier frame of mind, and even happier that he gave me the all clear to carry on machining in the shop. I think telling him I was going stir crazy had something to do with his decision.
My main problem now is my visitor, I think that is going to curtail my machining operations a little, but what the heck, anything is better than nothing.
A very happy Boglet, who can't wait to get the chips flying. I just might try a bit tomorrow, before my friend has to be picked up from the airport.
