Fiberglass & Gel Coat Repairs to Kayak (Off-board link)

Here's something a little different I've been updating on another forum dedicated to human-powered small boats.
It describes the work I've done to repair/rebuild two areas on my kayak that were in serious need of some help. Since this was my first foray into epoxy and gel coat, I've learned a lot along the way and have added tips that may help others to avoid similar missteps.

As of posting this I'm not quite finished yet but will continue to update as the project is completed, which should be soon!

Ooops... Maybe this should have been in "Composites and Plastics"? I didn't see that one when I was looking for a place to put it.
Feel free to move if necessary.
