Just finished my second clock to a design bt W.R.Smith it has a Grasshopper escapement invented by John Harrison around 1755

Very nice Steve.
The grasshopper is nice to watch.
Did you use CNC for any parts (e.g. Dial)?

After a bit of a problem with the spring barrel being too tight it's now starting to keep good time.
The dial, controllers and some of the wheel crossing was done on the CNC mill

I made this as a test and learning piece, when I first converted my mill to PC control, I ended up making three I gave two away to mates.......
