Greetings all!
« on: December 05, 2013, 06:34:57 PM »
New to this forum.  It was recommended to me by Ivan Bennett.

I am currently retired from the day to day world, and concentrate my time on projects.

I was a Union Ironworker for 23 years.
I was also a Union crane operator.
I was also a Transportation Supervisor for a local school district.

In between, I raced almost anything that had a motor, including airplanes.
My last racing stint was as a NASCAR crewchief for ten years.

I am on my third electric car. The first two were factory built, but my present one is my baby and
built from the ground up.

The build thread is here:
http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59659&highlight=mizlplix

The development thread for the custom built  motor is here:
http://ivanbennett.com/forum/index.php?topic=6.0

I belong to a small group that is studying the ways to convert and rebuild regular three
phase industrial motors so they can be used in building electric cars.  We have members from all over the world.

I also build UAV's (Drones). Both fixed wing and multi copters.

I am a big fan of target shooting and get out as much as possible.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the "MadModder" Forum.  It
seems to have something for everyone.

Welcome to MadModder, we are a divert bunch of people here so you will fit right in.
I really liked the pic of your "baby" in the link you provided.
Nothing is impossible, it just take more time to figure out.

Miz

Glad to see that everything got sorted and you are onboard now. It sounds like you have a good asortment of lifetime experiences. I would be interested in hearing some of the stories of being involved with NASCAR racing. We look forward to your future participation in the various forums.  :D :D

Cheers

Hiya Miz

Welcome to the collective :borg:

I went over and checked out your build thread... thought I recognized your name, I have flipped through your thread before!

I am hugely interested in quad-copters. I asked for one for Christmas! Would like to hear some more about them
