It's been a long time in coming, I was going to buy one at Harrogate but have finally got my hands on one ...
New Tool for WorkshopSomebody from the club had the not so nice task of clearing a friend's workshop out. The guy had bought all sorts of things and not really got around to using them, amongst them was this rotary table - so I said I'd have it, £50 + £15 for the dividing attachment. Seems decent quality, it's a 6" vertex, just collected it last night not had a chance to do anything with it. He took a lot of the smaller items to the club to auction off - the vernier I got for £4 and the thread gauge for a quid. A good night's spending I reckon!
I was looking for a dial caliper because am sick of batteries running out and my cheap digi-vern from aldi isn't the best. I reckon this mitutoyo manual one will be better - you can also see the scale unlike the dathan one my grandad gave me - you need a jewellers loup for that one!
Is it worth me buying a tailstock to go with the rotary table?
