Nice compact model shop. I really like the CNC machine. Almost got into build one. I still might get into  building one from a cast iron table a freind gave me. I've got the stepper motors and a spare computer board. One day.  :med:

Hi Brent

The CNC actualy becomes an addiction.  I am forever modifying or adding to it.  My biggest surprise was what a could actually cut on it, bearing in mind MDF/aluminuim/steel tubing fame, modified drawer slides and allthread as leadscrews.  Cuts aluminium at up to 400mm/min 0.5mm depth of cut, with plastics (my main material of use) it actuly moves to slow.  Working on a slower(yes slower) spindle to try and compensate for that. And better leadscrews, and , and ......

Know what you meen about the dust ect. that is why, unseen in the photo, the whole cabinet is pressurized with well filtered air.
An advantage/disadvantage  of of a small shop is it has to be "organized" and "clean" (using both terms very loosly here).
