Hi All, i have a new toy, A peatol lathe
I had one of these before but sold it sorry i had

just started to make some mods to it,

carriage stop thumb screw.

This is the thumb screw and carriage stop rod out of 5mm silver steel and the pedestal in place.

Hi Ray,

Do you know the 'Peatol Man' is usually at the Harrogate show.

He always has a nice selection of specialist reground milling cutters at good prices, if you get there quick.

Hi all

i made a tailstock handle for the peatol lathe, The handle was made from 14mm dia silver steel

Here is the lathe mounted on the board, the motor will be fitted to the left of the lathe instead of behind the lathe,

to the left of the lathe but decided to mount the motor behind the lathe to save room and make it as compact as i can,

Ray,

just a suggestion - it may be worth re-considering where you've mounted the NVR switch? - every time you want to stop the lathe you'll be reaching over spinning work, and if you ever need to stop it in an emergency, its not quite so accessible where it is.

Dave i value my fingers to much lol, the nvr is not secured to the top of the motor i wont make holes in the top of the connection box

it,s there just for the photo but it's good that you pointed it out

I take it you have not been to the uk, I have a myford in the kitchen and a lathe stand in the hall, the spares for the Myford are in boxes in said kitchen so are the new risser blocks Oh and 400meters of coax under the kitchen table for the new house tv system with loft box etc, and up untill recently two network cabnets that everyone wanted to know why we have 3 microwaves,
very understanding wife.

Have you considered that she may actually be blind & simply hasn't realised what you're up to? Especially if you persuaded her that you had 3 microwaves...

no she knows what they are, she lifted them in and will be fitting them, and threading the rest of the coax around the loft.

so your close to me then..

Aye, pretty close, I'm over on the Wirral, near what used to be Bidston Dock, but is now a field...

The only Superlambanana I saw regularly was on the corner of Hall St and Prescott St, on the way to/from the M62, there were allegedly some over here on the Wirral but I never did see one.
