Snowing here in South Yorkshire, UK. Just enough snow on the floor to roll up a snowman

Snowing here in South Yorkshire, UK.

Global warming, innit...

(nothing here over Liverpool way, except it's chuffing cold - keeping warm in the workshop will be a challenge this evening)
Cheers!

It's not snowing here today but did so a couple of times this past week - gave the snowblower a couple of workouts.

But it was darn cold this morning -20C and it has warmed up to -17C (so far but not expecting much more today).

cheers, Graham in Ottawa Canada

Amaizing to think Ottawa is on the same line as the middle of France and NY as far down as Spain ....

Thankfully we have the Gulf Stream or we would be telling you how cold it is ..... doesn't bear thinking about ....

Darren,

We could do with a bit of the Gulf Stream over this side of the Pennines.....

At 2*c, I`ve only managed 2off 25min shop sessions today.  ::)

That's why it snows in NY. It's thanks to those Canuks up there sending us that darn cold wind. Ever here of that term called the Canada Express. It ain't no train. Not in winter anyway.

Ok, I'm now putting on my asbestos suit because after that comment I know there are going to be some guys north of the 40 who are going to send fireballs my way.

Smart Man???  No. Do you think that I would send a fireball and warm you up after a remark like that. You best get the fires well stoked and probably 3 top quality snow mobile suits covering your bod. You ain't seen nothin yet. I'm going to give you a fightin chance and give you a few days to prepare before I send the COLD Canadian Express your way.

Cheers

ps: hope you stay warm

Thanks Don. I'll just crank up the coal stove a couple of notches and keep the heater on in the basement workshop.

Might even run some machines to help warm things up a bit.

How can you be so cruel?  :(

But it's still Friday here in the UK - I didn't know my forthcoming trip to NZ would make me a whole day and a half older

My wife has just reminded me that today is Saturday!

.... so you'll have to go and help with the Christmas shopping    Serves you right for boasting about your summer weather  :hammer:

Confession: being 4 years retired, I'm glad my watch not only shows the date, but also what day of the week it is.

I'm more than happy to report that no snow fell anywhere in Australia today   :)
It's not that I have anything against snow as long as I get to visit it, I don't want it coming around to my place.

I suppose it my fault for mentioning the people down at 'our' beach  but now I hear there are snowfall warnings for the Milford Road and the Lindis Pass,  two days before the longest day of the year!
