Do not worry manxmodder, I see nothing to apologise for.

As you say you are considering making the advanced rest, for which you will know that you will need the book. Do though look at my website here http://www.homews.co.uk/page145.html as it mentions some minor updates, non of which are essential but are worth considering.

I would though recommend the magnetic supports for the rest as this makes it easier to position the it at the best place for the task in hand. For those who have already made the rest they can be added without any need for modification to the rest itself.
