My New Welding Rig.
« on: December 03, 2013, 12:01:50 AM »
Well I finally picked up a welder and have it all set up so it can be put to work.  I bought the welder off Craig's list for $100 but it needed a new gun.  The welder is a Millermatic 135 and is in great condition so I figured I couldn't go wrong even though the gun was shot.  I was able to get a new gun for $120 and was up to $220 into the welder until I decided to convert it to gas instead of the flux core wire.  I went with a 125cu tank which set me back another $250 and $50 for a cart so in the end I have $520 stuck into the system, but it's a great set up and I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of it so I'm happy!  Now I need a cutting torch and I need to make up a nice welding table.
