Bender Mount Question
« on: July 15, 2013, 02:54:45 PM »
I bought such a bender today:
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Bender-Bending-Metal-Square/dp/B0081TLV5A

I need advice to mount this bender so that the handle be moved up and down and not side ways.

I am partially disabled after a series of surgery and several to come (Hopefully I will heal completely}. In the meantime I am a bit limeted.

I would like it if the mount can be portable.

Any ideas?
Regards

Johan

Maybe you could bolt it to a wall, Johan, if that will leave enough room above and below (or on either side) for the length of stock you will be bending. It wouldn't be portable, but wouldn't stick out very far.

Or when you say "portable", are you intending to take it to jobs outside the shop?

Hope the surgery goes OK.

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

I bought some thick walled square tubing and thick angle today.
I am not thinking on taking it outside my garage.
More likely to move it out of the way if needed.
I will eventually think of something.
