Hi
Lads
I have been moving my shop around (again)
This time I decided to paint my mill
I bought a tin of light grey "marine enamel" paint from a boot sale
It is old has loads of safety warnings on it and really smells
I mixed a bit of black in with it until I liked the colour
I painted a set of drawers out side they were touch dry in 30 minutes hard in 2 hours (seems like proper paint)
I stripped some bits from the mill gave it a wash with brake cleaner and a scrub with a "scotch brite" pad.
I tried a little bit of paint on the nee (I will have to wait until the wife is at work to paint the rest) as she has astma :bash::bash::bash::bash:

A man of his word. But Double, I thought sure you'd do a video of the mill going grey!

Hi
Lads
Got the mill painted today:drool:
3 hours later and it was back together
I still have the head to paint (this will need stripping) to do a proper job

Yes - it's more rstful on the eye "calmer" than the blue, and will be less distracting on your future box office hits, John.
My lathe is in Warco's rather bilious "Reseda Green" and would look a lot better in grey. I also regret daubing the miller with dark green Hammerite. Next time....

It would put a whole new meaning to 'watching paint dry'.

Hi there,
That all looks very good, John.
I've got one of those cabinets of drawers with the chrome handles, they're very useful. I lined the drawers in mine with thin cork sheet and anti-rust paper.
