Hi Porker,

Nice job on the hook.

You've reminded me that I've forgotten to remind myself to make a butt-hook (it may have a different name in the US!) for my old Anschutz .22 target rifle. The one on it now is a casting, unadjustable except for moving the whole thing up and down. Though OK for the standing and kneeling leagues, it hasn't got quite the right bend on it, in the horizonal plane, for when I'm shooting prone. And, due to wear and tear on the knees, I don't do much S&K now.

Hi Porker,
I shoot pistol at Groby range in Leicester.

It's really handy being able to make your own bits and pieces especially when looking at the prices of some of the most simple parts. I do a few for fellow shooters too, helps towards the odd tin of pellets etc
Nice work on the hook and other bits.
Steve.

This is the one I made about ten years ago for my Crossbow. Mainly Anodised aluminium with stainless steel fasteners but the shoulder piece was moulded in silicon rubber for grip and comfort! The complete assembly is highly adjustable for angle to get exactly the fit you need. About 20 components in total including fasteners.

That looks great. How did you make the parts? Were they made on a manual machine or CNC? I like the smooth and consistent rounded edges. Did you Anodize yourself as this is a finish I would like to try?
