Arbalist:
All the parts were made on a manual milling machine, I had an Elliott Omnimill at the time. I used a couple of radius mills to round the edges. The Anodising was done by a local company, did'nt cost that much as I remember. |
Jonny:
Although have made plenty the last 20 odd years, they re not worth making for the money. Probably take me two days to make this so bought one for £370 http://www.hps-tr.com/images/plates/aktiv_free_rifle.jpg Do have Anchutz armadillo and a 4765 unused in link above. porker:
Jonny, I would agree there is a lot of work in these parts and making them is not financially viable. I'm not into the shooting scene myself but my nephew and niece are and as they are still kids I can make them bits and pieces and it gives me something. to make as its the making I enjoy. I've also made simple weights and trigger pieces but they are quick and easy. I see you are in Wolverhampton which I know is part of the shooting scene as they regularly travel there for competitions. Some great bits of kit btw. Thanks for posting them. |
