This is a bit of an old one, originally finished a few years ago and just recently put a new laser on it after the original one died.
Not the best pictures and none of it stripped.
(sorry for the big uns... CTRL and + and - will toggle screen zoom in and out)
But, here's what I do got.....
First I had to make a rail to attach the carrier to, I made this by measuring the laser mounting and angles and carving it from a bit of aluminium.
This was attached to the underside of the barrel with 2 M6 hex head bolts through from the top. The pin in the front of the barrel was knocked out and the needed holes drilled through the barrel.
The laser then simply mounted under the barrel.
The laser came with 2 different switch options. 1/ a button that allowed momentary function or when the cap was twisted it is full on.
and 2/ a cap with a lead extending to a rubber pad with 4 little switches inside, press any one and the laser worked.
I didn't want option 1 cause of it's permanent laser on. Battery drain and blinding people while you re-load etc.
And the rubber pad was annoyingly awkward to use. So. I modded it!
I removed the pad from the end of the wire, drilled a hole through the handle to the inside (no magazine ... made this doable)
I de-soldered one of the little switches and attached it to the end of the cable. I marked a point where it would fit and measured the depth of the switch total height and when depressed. The slot was cut to allow the switch to sit proud.
The pencil marks for my drilling/recess.
A piece of insulation tape is used to keep the switch contacts from the gun body. it was later glued into position on top of the tape.
The grip was modified too, I opened up the screw holes and made brass sleeves to fit them. the top one allows the screw to tighten the grip almost fully down.
The bottom one holds the sleeve tight and allows the grip to move ~1mm.
This was found to be too sensitive and the laser came on with almost no pressure.
So an O ring was fitted around the sleeve and allows for a harder pressure before the laser activates.
So that's it... A super green laser that shoots further than my pistol!
A little more pressure on the 3 fingers on the grip and you're in business
Ralph.
