Optimum BF20L CNC conversion.
(1/3) > >>
NeoTech:
So after a year and a half after i bought the BF20L machine and figured i couldnt do crap without another mill ive come around to do the CNC milling.
The small Aciera F3 mill in conjunction with the small lathe allows me to produce all the parts needed for doing this conversion..

So so far weve made alteration to the base of the BF20L mill to fit ballnuts and clear space for clamping blocks and other whatnots, brass nuts is made for the ballscrews, and basemounts for the Y-axle is in place..

The idea for this cnc conversion is that i wanna be able to make casting moulds for rubber and silver parts by injecting rubber directly or making wax parts for a casting tree. I hope this time around it will get finished as well. ;)

Oohh i got the Aciera, 3-4 weeks ago or so. There is some posted question thread on it, and its move here on the forum. Its a nice little machine.. can run a 20mm cutter 15mm deep in full "throttle" straight through a alu block. its stable enough i guess. Tried with steel, not that tough or well the machine are the cutters isnt. ;)

I your Aciera mill thread , very nice  :headbang:

Just out of interest , what are you going to be casting ?

Out of rubber, fishing lures - "jigs".. rubber lures..  =)

And out of wax, mostly jewelry designs for my girlfriends projects i guess.

Im more interested in making the tooling surrounding the processes than the.. final result itself ;D
