That takes me back. I was a Mech on No. 75 SQN next door when the Macchi's started arriving. Later I was a Tech in the Ohakea engine bay, so we would install the QEC and prep them for installation.
I hope you guys have a good range of tooling. We always thought No.42 should have "Sponsored by Snap-on" as a SQN logo. The Airframe is a mix of metric and UNF, the Engine (Viper 680) largely Whitworth, although the hydraulic pump was UNF and the Ignitor system metric.
