New guy just saying Hello
« on: June 09, 2012, 02:44:48 PM »
Hi I'm Bernard

Im a cnc nut.
I make 1/12th scale furniture.
Found this site by accident whilst looking for tips on how to make candles (don't ask). Found it refreshing to find that I am not the only nut in the tree and the tips here are from real people who know what the are talking about through experience and not theory.
Some of my work can be seen at www. mcqueenieminiatures.co.uk
Will get back to reading all the great tips (nice to be here)

Hi Rob

Regarding the machines I run. there is "Mildred" she is a Taig mill which I converted to CNC and runs on Supercam Software Then there is "Frank" short for Frankenstein (turned out bigger than I thought) which is a 600mm x 300mm moving table router that I built from scratch.
He also runs supercam. He was followed by Morf (morphious) who is a custom built routing mill with a long reach z axis and a rotary dividing head. Then there is Turner a sherline lathe which I converted and runs with Flashcut software.and finaly there is hooch (son of turner) another sherline lath using planet cnc software and usb driver. All my oyher machines are saws planers etc now that Ive listed all this I realise I'm going nuts cause I talk to my machines ...need to get out more!

And yes the coffin does sell well (dont ask me why)

Hi Bernard

The pictures are uploaded as whatever size they are... that said, they show up as clickable thumbnails. After you post, click and they go to the right size...

Hi Bernard

Just a quick note to maybe aid you with sizing issues... (can also help save space on the site server)

You could try this   http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=4735.0   It's very simple (well I think it is  :) )
There are some other threads in the gallery section about pic's and videos. You might find them useful?

Nice looking miniatures too  :jaw:

How do you make those eggs!?!?

Hope the picture threads help?
