Hi
« on: March 21, 2012, 07:31:40 PM »
HI all.I am new here but not to machining.I started back in the sixty's in shop class and bought my first lathe (Atlas 618) from sears when I was 17.I worked hard for 3 summers and after school to buy that lathe and still have and use it.I like to build steam engines and cannons.I know I will learn a lot here and hope I can contribute to the forum.
 Thanks,Bill L.

And a whole lot more in what I thought was a large(26X40)shop.I just can't pass up a good deal on a tool.I will post some pics later.

Hi Bill

26x40? Must be nice to live in one of the more spacious countries!

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

Hi Bill.
Welcome to the Collective!

We're a mixed bunch on here. Someone knows, or wants to know about almost every subject.

Join in. Show what you do, with pics.  :mmr:

Have fun. We do!
