a tool dilemer

HI all i have bin given a Bristol Erickson Colet chuck with sum Colet's see pic its missing its nut where can i get a new nut from  my first thought was to mack this in to a Colet holder for my lathe it wood not be that hard had a look on the net and thees things seem to be rather expensive my Q is shod i sell it and at what price or go a Head and mod it  right pics

First thought that comes to mind is - why not make a new nut?  Isn't that why most of us are here?

O if it was that simple don't have the right gears to set the lathe up to cut the thread needed

Not sure what threads you're looking at, but is there a nut or something else with the same threads that could be modified or repurposed?  Maybe have someone else do just the threads and you finish the rest?  Just trying to think outside the box a bit here...

I had some INT30 collet chucks with mill when i got it (changed all to R8). The nut was not anything special, i would try and get a normal nut and weld a plate over the end, there was a small radius in the bottom of the nut if i remember right? but you could turn the front of the nut out and turn a plate with the radius so it drops in?

Just an idea

It appears that the nuts are available at least on this side of the pond. Not sure this is the correct size but if this size is available other sizes should be also. They don't want an arm and leg for them either.

Ignore that wrong nuts they are for ER's, just too quick with the cut and paste
