Hello From Me
« on: December 27, 2011, 01:56:42 PM »
5 Years to retirement time to start saving, have dreamed all my life for a small metal workshop lathe mill etc. Back in 1966 had a choice work with uncle in glass trade or fitter turner Hawthorn Lesley. Went with uncle and glass trade being well employed all life own business since 1980 but still poor. I love small engines and dream to build 6" showman's traction engine. But will be content to build Elmer's until everything drops off or gives up

Ow do Stewlog
So you think that when you retire you will have time to do all that do you.  Well i recon that your only chance, is from now on, to start telling everyone that you are a grave-digger, that way no one will want your services when they think you now have lots of time on your hands.      :ddb: :ddb: :ddb: :nrocks:

   Cheers, and welcome  Deko

Hi and welcome to MadModder. It is a good feeling to be thinking about retirement but don't tell SWMBO about it as she will just add a lot more items to the honey do list.  If you need any help just ask as there is usually someone around to answer or at least give an opinion. We look forward to your participation in the forums  :D :D

Cheers

Metal working tools, no. Just about every else  though, tools for wood work, tools for working glass, tools for working home repairs. Sorry tell a lie got some callipers inside and out side and some dividers. With a lottery win, sometime might buy haas tool shop lathe and mill.

But until then small lathe and mill from warco and then I will have started the money pit. O yes I forgot thanks for the welcome guys. Looked at a lot of boards you guys don't seem to get bitty with one and other.

Wow Stew, that's some craftsmanship - and not a CNC in sight!

Welcome to the club

(and this means there are now are least two Stews so Mr Hart won't feel quite so outnumbered by all the Daves on here! )

cheers / Dave (Isle of Man)
