Hi everyone, My name is Ross and I'm 16. Over the past few years I've become more and more interested and involved in engineering.Im mostly interested in engines, specifically steam and I have my own small collection of steam models or toys, whatever you want to call them, here is my not very recently updated website: www.rosssteamstuff.co.uk I was recommended here by Stilldrillin on the unofficial mamod forum, he could obviously see I needed help! I've Bought myself a mini lathe so I can do my own model engineering projects etc.. And I'm in the process of waiting for parts to come! They'll be lots of dumb questions from me to follow! Here is my lathe: Aslo, what would you guys recommend as a good first project? I work on lathes at work and college so I'm not tot tally new, just new at this scale! |

Hi there Ross :wave: Welcome to the cube :borg: As to a 1st project, the 1st steam engine project that I made was one of Elmers "wobbler" engines, plans are here and my build log is here I think that most of Elmers engines can be made on a mini-lathe, and they are a good starter project. Tim |
