Hi, I'm Marc from Belgium.
Working as a R&D technician my job is to be creative.
At home there's not much time left at the moment.
Among the projets that I finished is my house, total overhaul of a Honda FT500 and some small stuff

A few years ago I bought an old Myford ML7 in bad condition.
After one year of cleaning and searching for parts I finisched the refurbishment.
Recently I purchased another Myford ML7 for parts, a Rongfu RF20 mill - drill and an Myford ML8.
All need redurbishment with the ultimate goal to make a Baroque Oboe and play it.
I know that it is challenging but I will go for it.

Hi Marc,

A baroque oboe sounds interesting. Do you already play wind instruments, or will you be learning the oboe after you have made one?

I suppose the baroque version with very few keys will be a little easier to make than the modern one which looks like it has about 50.

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

Hi and welcome to MadModder. Good luck with refurbishing your ML7 lathe, mill/drill and ML8. When you have this done you should have a good setup in your shop. If you have any questions just ask as there is always someone around to answer or at least  give an opinion.

Cheers
