The facts that I spent 8 years in the UK, and that my wonderful wife is an East Anglia girl aside, I still get a kick out of the BBC comedies on PBS Saturday nights. The Bucket woman, As Time Goes By, Last of the Summer Wine, Are You Being Served, and the others that are rotated in, even though I’ve seen them all, are as welcome as a John Wayne movie! Chuck in E. I know when they were made, Bluechip. I was there(UK) when thet were first run. John Wayne's last movie was made in 1976, but I'd watch it again if it was on tonight. Don't make 'em like that anymore... Chuck in E. TN |
