Chuck in E. TN:
The facts that I spent 8 years in the UK, and that my wonderful wife is an East Anglia girl aside, I still get a kick out of the BBC comedies on PBS Saturday nights. The Bucket woman, As Time Goes By, Last of the Summer Wine, Are You Being Served, and the others that are rotated in, even though I’ve seen them all, are as welcome as a John Wayne movie!

Do you get "Only Fools and Horses" and "One Foot in the Grave" in Tennessee, Chuck? Like the others you mentioned, those series (?serieses?) are long finished, but I still find them very funny.

I know when they were made, Bluechip. I was there(UK) when thet were first run. John Wayne's last movie was made in 1976, but I'd watch it again if it was on tonight. Don't make 'em like that anymore...

Now then, now then, now then,  Wot's all this knocking the Beeb?    They keep my nephew gainfully employed as the series producer of Coast, and various other programes for the open uni.
