Yes, the whole thing is held together with steel wedges including the fly wheel which is made in segments with tenons pegged with wedges which did let go some time in the 1860, they used this engine to bring the ore to the surface and has they only got paid for ore on the surface the miners were in **** creak, so they fixed the fly wheel any way they could, so its got odd bits iron pegged into it, and one hell of a wobble but it still holding together all those years later.
The beams about 10ft long. I've got a drawing of the engine somewhere in the house, bin looking for it but its disappeared into the unknown.
