Boz:
As ever, some interesting techniques for me to learn from, as well as a lovely build

That is a really nice way of keeping the pressure from bending the crank using that spacer.

Just wondering, I noticed you drilled right through the two bearing supports in position. When I built my Stuart I was encouraged not to do this because they may deflect off centre as the drill went through. I guess because you were boring you could take a very light final cuts and run it in and out so that you knew you wouldn`t get this deflection - is that right?

"Several hours later".....   : )  That's a funny bit about the saw, Rob.
Things are looking great, and you're showing some solid machining practice.  Enjoying your thread here, mate!

Hi Chris ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you got it ,i took it easy drilling ,, leaving plenty of material to bore to final size  :dremel:

Well i just about finished the crank ,, still needs some de burring , a couple of key ways milled and cut to length  :dremel:

Milled off the excess material ,,, to lazy to use a hacksaw  ::)

Mounted between centres and ruff turned

Then finish turned to size

Cheers Rob
