Hi LADS

I thought for a change i would have ago at build an engine , instead of messing around fixing up the shop and building furnaces ,, i fancy for a change something small ,from bar stock ,,,,,,,,was going to be a Webster but then i remembered Chris has one on the go right now  ,, so it will be a Kerzel engine .

The plans are free here ,,,  http://www.floridaame.org/GalleryPages/g1h0106.htm   ,,looking over the drawings it looks a well thought out engine ,,,,,,,,,,with the size of this engine being small i may have ago at making some of the parts on my small CNC mill  ,,,,So far the mill has just sat there on the end of the bench doing nowt  :whip:

Hi Rob, you should be a Webster, it`d show people how it should be done rather than my poor attempt

I looked at the Kerzel engine, looks a nice design but I must admit I then got consumed by the Nemett NE15s but choose the Webster as it is easier.   http://modelenginenews.org/cardfile/images/ne15s1.jpg

Good luck with your build, I look forward to reading more.

That really looks to be a nice compact engine to build Rob.

I looked at it a few years ago, then dropped the idea when the Westbury Whippet came along my way. I wish I had done that one instead of the Whippet, as that sits unfinished (but running) on a top shelf.

Keep us well posted.

Hi Rob, I took a look at the link you posted, and that looks like a very nice build to set about.  I will be following closely, as it looks like one I'd like to build too.  This should turn out to be a beauty when you're done.  Cheers, Jack
