And I thought they were just while you were building it, to be replaced by studs, washers and single chamfer nuts, proper job

Jason (who has just been making some of these for 3/32" pipe so his engine looks right).

Should be no problem I have made them for 1/16 od pipe along with nipples and union nuts  its 3/32 AF if your so minded

These were for the oil lines and steam lines for the drain cocks ( steam operated )

Fair enough, it did seem a little excessive!

I'd best get a few other things finished first.... Like my long awaited house!    ::)

Cheers AL

A bit more work on the engine tonight  :dremel: , repositioned the R/T to HZ  and drilled the inlet and exhaust ports .

Chopped the head off from the stock and skimmed up the face .

Just needs the valve seats cutting ,, i will probably make up a seat cutter for the job .

Thanks Lads and cheers for looking in  :headbang:

A wee bit progress today , turned up a couple of brass valve guides  :dremel:

Next was a couple of stainless valves ,, i decided to turn them from 1/4 bar instead of the described method in the drawings .

Then a couple of valve spring keepers also in stainless

Time for tea  :med:

I cant remember seeing a microscope in your shop but you must have one

Cheers Lads

Just a bit of an up date ,, Things have been a bit slow had a few other workshop jobs to take care of  :dremel:

Any way ,, the flywheels up next .machined up the flywheel blanks and decided to CNC the cut-outs for the spokes  :dremel:

Here is my small CNC set up Denford Starmill and Mach3

Mounted a 4 jaw chuck to hold the blanks ,,,,,,,,,, going to make a proper fixture for flywheels  :proj:

I used the find centre wizard in Mach3 to locate the blank centre

Then off we go  :ddb: :ddb: :ddb: :ddb:

NOT FOR LONG ,,,,,,,,,MACHINE TOOK A MENTAL

No idea why it just did  ::)

Machined up the second one ok ,,,,,,,, wile it was chugging away machining the second blank  i turned up another  .
