Ever heard of a Triumph lathe?
« on: March 23, 2011, 06:44:10 PM »
As the "Triumph" lathe appears on a NZ auction site:-

Well, there was a Colchester Triumph:-

Hmmmm..... not much like the one in the auction in fact it looks very much like my Drummond lathe c:1908, the gearbox however might be just like the one I had in a Triumph Herald

I think your memory serves you well, John. See the first Drummond photo here http://www.lathes.co.uk/drummond/index.html

The gearbox does look a bit like what I found on the road behind my Triumph Spitfire after its engine fell out

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short
