I would, But it's my understanding that linking a new forum on another site is a bit frowned upon. Were not trying to pull members away from other sites like this. That would be counter productive.

Pete,
It is sort of frowned on (on some forums)... However, I don't mind links to other forums or personal websites (just not for profit corp sites). You can put it in your signature if you want. Members will be members where ever they want. We are such a small community, we have to support* each other. Besides, we are not a model engine (steam or IC) forum. We are a project forum... that means most everything goes here... engines, yo-yos, robots... you name it.

Brass,
Thank you, I certainly wasn't fishing for new members. I try to be very careful about stepping on toes. LOL, I may be a little paranoid from being a member on the Practical Machinist forum. And no I'm certainly not comparing this site to an example of a ??? Nope, I better not say it. But the link has already been put up so people are free to check out or not.

No problem Pete. I have joined there (I am a steamer after all). I hope to see it grow and prosper.

Eric-
Thanks for your gracious mention on your forum.
I appreciate that very much.
We are non-commercial, and will always remain non-commercial.
We are in it for the fun of it.
No amount of money could justify the work I put into the hobby.
As a further note about the magazine that Pete mentions above, my memory (which is terrible) has been jogged, and I recall the "magazine" discussions Pete and I had. Those discussions somehow created a "Steam Forum", but I think that was something we needed to establish in order to move towards a magazine.
The magazine Pete refer's to has actually been started, and is called "Steam Engine Technology".
I have created the first edition, which is about the Dake steam engine.
I have not widely distributed the first edition because Mike Rehmus with MEB became interested in the article, and is working on incorporating most of it into an article in his magazine. Mike Rehmus hired Ernie Daniel to create a spectacular 3D model of the Dake, with some fine 2D drawings that will be published in MEB.
For this reason, I cannot release the first edition of "Steam Engine Technology".
It should be noted that I have furnished all my materials and information to Mike Rehmus at no cost, and will not receive any money for the article. I am not in it for the money, rather for a love of the hobby.
If there is an interest, we can consider further "Steam Engine Technology Magazine" editions.

Bernd:
Hi Pat,
Just quickly surfed through your site. Very interesting and nice.
Looks like it could be a repository for alot of steam info.
Thanks for sharing that.
