Hi all, my name is Ray, i have just started to build the stuart 10v engine from castings for the first time ::) so i will post some photos of the progress, i would appreciate
your comments and advice here are some photos of where i am at the moment,



here i am tapping the threads in the boxbed after machining, the tapping stand i made myself.




and centre drilling the soleplate.



here is the standard mounted in the 3jaw chuck

here i had to make a mounting plate because the sherline faceplate was to small

Nice work Ray, showing what can be done on a very small machine too.

I haven't built an engine from castings yet either but it's on the long list of projects.

Chris, I've done that again this year, promise myself I'll finish things by christmas but it just isn't happening at the moment!
