Hi all, my name is Ray, i have just started to build the stuart 10v engine from castings for the first time ::) so i will post some photos of the progress, i would appreciate your comments and advice here are some photos of where i am at the moment, here i am tapping the threads in the boxbed after machining, the tapping stand i made myself. and centre drilling the soleplate. here is the standard mounted in the 3jaw chuck machining the feet of the standard here i had to make a mounting plate because the sherline faceplate was to small machining the standard hope i am doing this right your comments would be appreciated drilling the feet of the standard. This is as far as i have got your comments and advice would be appreciated, first time uploading photos some look a bit big, Ray |

Nice work Ray, showing what can be done on a very small machine too. I haven't built an engine from castings yet either but it's on the long list of projects. Chris, I've done that again this year, promise myself I'll finish things by christmas but it just isn't happening at the moment! Nick |
