Greetings to you all

.
I realise the value of this section but never know what to say about myself.
From the Suffolk/Norfolk border (on the proper side!!), collect Drummond lathes after being given my great grandfather's 1914 B that REALLY had a hard life after he died!
Have rebuilt that, and in the quest for parts, ended up with a round bed, 3 B's, and 3 M's.
Great grandfather's and a long bed M are completely original with treadle, the others are 'mod'ed' with electric drive (has anyone tried treadling? it's murder!! That's what the apprentice was for!

)
Have got into making my own tooling and am starting a first model, a Benson's Vertical Engine (steam), progressing onto a Rider Ericsson hot air engine (for SWMBO).
Would like to build a 2" Fowler K7 Ploughing Engine eventually (also for SWMBO)
I think this site is fantastic, with all the tips and tricks for completing the most amazing projects by making them seem so simple (ish!!!)
I would like to say Hi and a big Thank You to everyone, but most of all to Bogstandard, whose posts on other forums (fora?) led me here. I am in complete awe of the man and his way of teaching his methods.

I am lucky in that I can usually find a way of doing something even if my inexperience means that it doesn't turn out perfectly. SWMBO says that my hobby is turning large lumps of metal into smaller lumps of metal, but she says it keeps me happy, so lets me disappear into the workshop whenever I like! Bonus! (That's why I make what she wants!

) ) I am known as a jack of all trades...maybe a master of none.
