Hey Guys,
thanks for the warm welcome.
I've got a 7x14 mini lathe, about a year+ now, and have made plenty of chips just playing in aluminium. I'm trying to get a good feel for using the cutters, even ground a few but I don't know enough about the finished tool. I'm also interested in making my lathe a better machine. I love the idea of a quick change tool post and anything that increases accuracy and use. I hope to one day convert it to a sometimes-CNC, but that's a ways off!

as is a mini miling machine...(wives, they do come from their own planet, not seeing the need for such things!)
The radius turner/ball cutter is awesomely clever and cool, I hope that building one of those will not only give me a useful tool, but teach me much along the way!

I'm mostly using my equipment to make masters for resin casting (various scale models) as well as parts. I made a 1:72 scale 55-gal drum on the lathe, for resin casting. It was harder than it should have been!
Anyway, thanks again, hopefully I can contribute.
Cheers,
Wink
