John. B:
greetings to you all madmodders,

I'm a retired train operator from Essex, with interests in all things turning.

Although I will admit to mainly woodturning I have one of these, with, which hopefully on this forum I can learn to make bigger things than I do at present.
:(

At the moment I make tooling or little things for the lathe.

However these are a couple of things I've done on my wood lathe recently.

Hi there John  Welcome to madmodder.

I too came from a background of turning the brown stuff, but it's a whole different kettle of fish on a metal lathe, less feel more precision ( in my case anyway )

Glad to have you with us, post up some pics of your exploits, we like pics as  :worthless:  :D

Welcome to the collective John.  :borg:

Hey it doesn't matter what medium you work with, it's all excepted here.

You can always learn something when you cross over into another hobby or medium such as wood turning.  :smart:

So, let's see some of them nice wood turnings.

Thanks Gents for the welcome,

I realise that some threads  :worthless:

so here are another one or two.

The napkin rings are a gift for a friends bed and breakfast  house,

the others are a small trophy for one of my golf club competitions, and the storks are for the local childrens school. It's their school logo.

Love 'em, John - particularly the flowing curves on the mortarboard and the storks
