I too still have a soft spot for trains, (big ones) despit being retired these last 5 years.

A couple weeks ago My wife and I travelled to Berlin Germany, from London and back again a week later by train.

London to Brussels by Eurostar, high speed  German ICE train Brussels to Koln, then second ICE train Koln to Berlin.

It's quite something to sit at dinner, when the the world the other side of the window is going by at 175 MPH.

With the metal lathe I hope to make a ball turning jig.

Glad you joined. Looks like you shouldn't have any problems with material made out of metal.
