Hello from the West Country, UK
« on: April 23, 2010, 12:45:06 PM »
Finally decided to register after several months as a guest. I live in Somerset at present but have just accepted an offer on a barn conversion project I have been working on for the last several years! I have mainly been interested in working with the brown stuff but am slowly moving towards metal having a Boxford BUD which I am slowly coming to terms with. I have already got :proj: and have a Lister CS 6/1 which I would love to convert to run on woodgas having seen KenB's efforts on the Navitron renewable energy forum (www.navitron.org.uk/forum) of which I am also a devotee. I am in the process of acquiring a new project which is a former mill in the middle of nowhere in Devon and by shear coincidence it is packed full of some serious kit which will hopefully still be useable when I find time to divert attention from building, this includes vertical mill, horizontal mill, several lathes (one capstan), Alba shaper, Band saw and lots more!! I think my feet are not going to touch the ground for the next few weeks with selling and moving but hopefully after that I will be able to post some pictures of my new project and the equipment therein.

You will find it a distinct help… if you know and look as if you know what you are doing. (IRS training manual)
