After having my X2 mill for a few months, I decided to move it on to a stainless steel trolley I had. As I'd never properly trammed the mill, I though it a good learning opportunity to do it after the move.
No problems getting it all apart, lot's of howtos available. I took the column off and aligned following instructions on HMEM
http://homemodelenginemachinist.com/index.php?topic=6007.0. Took a while but got it pretty close.
Next step, reassemble the mill and tram X and Y.
No matter what I did, I could not get the column setup so the X setting was constant. After a frustrating couple of hours, decided to give it a break and put some oil on the bits that needed it. It was then that I found I hadn't done up the gib adjusters when I refitted the mill head.

Needless to say, it's a lot easier to adjust now.
I would have posted this in the 'Stupid Newbie' forum but couldn't find it.
