Gentlemen, I found this site through a link on another site. I came here to read the thread and as I browsed around I found some familiar names. It looks like a very interesting site so I signed up. That being said here's a little about myself.
I'm 64 years old. I've been a gear head most of my life, taking stuff apart, seeing how it worked, sometimes getting it back together properly. I got into machining at about 15 when the neighbor sold me a small lathe he had sitting around. That was a learning adventure in itself. After high school, art school, the army and a few other jobs I got accepted into the metal patternmaking trade at the Ford Motor Company. I recently retired after 38 years. My hobbies are anything mechanical, building miniature engines, gas and steam, repairing and tinkering with small IC engines, painting and drawing with a little photography added in. As I mentioned earlier I found some old names here so some of you are familiar with my work. I hope to share with and add some of my own information to the assembled masses.
Thanks for having me,
George D. Britnell
