.. of recently completed engines.
First, the Ridley half-beam, built (more or less) to plans published in AME
.. and the Double Diagonal, built from a single pic gleaned from the net.

Tel,
Interesting beam engine. Never seen a half-beam before. And I still marvel at that Double Diagonal. That was a nice built.

You have built a couple of real fine engines in these 2 examples. Building from a photograph makes it even harder and ensures that you understand exactly what happens and why. It is much different than building to a good plan. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing them with us.
Cheers

Hi Tel
Visited Manchester (UK) Muisium of Science and Industery Yesterday with the sole purpose to take some pics of a grahopper engine.
It looks a lot like that half beam
They also had an imverted twin V like the other engine, sorry but I didn't take a pic of that.
Thanks
for showing

Thanks blokes, it keeps me off the streets.
Stew, I suspect that the engine you mention is
this
one, if so, that's the pic I built the engine from

Tel,
Amazing you built the second one from just a picture. One day, I will get to that skill level.
