A SHOE TREE???

has anyone seen a shoe tree.......................well i have :bugeye:

and for your viewing enjoyment here it is













it is located new a small town called port bolster ontario. dad and i were on our way home from the fenlon falls steam show when we spotted this.
i have no idea as to how or why it got started but as you can see there are allot of shoes hanging from that tree.
has any one else seen any thing like this before or is this just a once in a life time thing??

I guess that this isn't the first shoe tree. Did a google on "Shoe Tree" and here is just one of the sites that I found that explains it all and shows more shoe trees.

In the hood were wires are more common then trees, they just throw them around the wires. Around the corner from my house there are 3 pairs that were hanging. I guess its either a case of they are wearing out till nothing is left to throw, or only 3 kids could get them up. About a year ago in a major city which I Forgot they tried taking them down when they became a hazard/nuisance. The kids got nasty and they had to have the cops there while removing them. Go figure.
