My new old lathe.
« on: November 04, 2009, 04:38:04 PM »
I traded my Harley bobber for it, but I think it was a good trade. She is a lot better looking in person though. Somone in the past took the gearbox off of it. I just got it all backtogether and working (not shown in photo).

It'll vibrate less, so methinks a good deal .....

I've always wondered what a Hardinge would be like to use, hopefully you'll be able to tell us in due coarse.
You will find it a distinct help… if you know and look as if you know what you are doing. (IRS training manual)

You'll love using it, I did when I got the chance.

WOT VIBRATION, if it is running right, you shouldn't be able to tell it is running by using feel alone.

Love the artwork

Don

I was infected before coming here, now I can actually name it.

A year ago I traded off a Harley baskey case that I put together for a Bridgeport, when the opportunity for the Hardinge came up there was no way I could pass on it. The tooling alone that I received was worth the trade.
